The Boker Arbolito straight razor (model #140519) was added to Boker's line of hand made straight razors in 2012. The Arbolito straight razor features a superb 5/8" blade made of carbon steel with a full hollow grind and Spanish point. The straight edge is paired with a moisture resistant black handle with vintage style accents placed by hand. The scales are quite light. This unique straight razor is manufactured in more than 120 steps, by hand, in the Boker plant in Solingen, Germany. The Dovo 183 strop features their wonderful Russian leather, which is taken from a slice below the outer skin. It has a wonderful velvety smooth surface and is more consistent then the outer later of leather more common to lesser prices strops. The Dovo strop has a hard linen surface attached to both the handle and the leather, forming a loop, guaranteeing the ability to pull taught while not needing an extra handle. This is an elegant solution and cuts down on the overall weight of the strop. Dovo treats the tightly woven linen with their white paste at the factory adding a bit of a sharpening effect.
